March 9—Genesis 3:1-24; Mark 2:1-17
Pastor
Gen – “Did you eat from the tree, which I commanded you not to eat?”
Mark – “so you will know that the Son of Man has authority on the earth to forgive sins”

Gen – “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.”
Mark – “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

Gen – The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and His wife and clothed them

March 8—Genesis 2:4-25; Mark 1:29-45
Pastor
Gen – “It’s not good that the human is alone. I will make him a helper that is perfect for him.”
Mark – Early in the morning, well before sunrise, Jesus rose and went to a deserted place where He could be alone in prayer.
Carl
Gen – The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.
Mark – He reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!”
Sharon
Gen – The Lord God put man in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.

Genesis – God saw everything he had made: it was supremely good.
Mark – “Here comes God’s kingdom! Change your hearts and lives, and trust this good news!”

Gen. – And on the seventh day God finished his work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done.
Mark – “Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men.”[b] 18 And immediately they left their nets and followed him.

Mark – “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.”

Genesis – In the beginning god created the heavens and the earth.
Mark – The beginning of the gospel about Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

March 5—Job 37:1-24; John 12:1-19
Pastor
Job – God roars with His wondrous voice; He does great things we can’t know.
John – Look! Your king is coming, sitting on a donkey’s colt.
Carl
Job – The Almighty—we cannot find him; he is great in power; justice and abundant righteousness he will not violate.
Therefore men fear him; he does not regard any who are wise in their own conceit.”
John – For the poor you always have with you, but you do not always have me.
Sharon
Genesis – In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Mark – The beginning of the gospel about Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

March 4—Job 35:1-21; John 11:38-57

Job 35 – If you are righteous, what do you give to Him? Or what does He receive from your hand?
John 11 – “Didn’t I tell you that if you believe, you will see God’s glory?”
Carl
Job – If you are righteous, what do you give to him? Or what does he receive from your hand?
John – “You know nothing at all. 50 Nor do you understand that it is better for you that one man should die for the people, not that the whole nation should perish.”
Sharon
Job – …God, my maker who gives songs in the night, who teaches more to us than to the beasts of the earth and makes us wiser than the birds of the air…
John – (Jesus) “Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?”

March 3—Job 34:10-33; John 11:17-37
Pastor
Job 34 – Surely God doesn’t act wickedly, the Almighty doesn’t distort justice.
John 11 – “Yes, Lord, I believe that are the Christ, God’s Son, the one who is coming into the world.”
Carl
Job – If it were his intention and he withdrew his spirit and breath,
all humanity would perish together and mankind would return to the dust.
John – I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.
Sharon
Job – Far be it from God to do evil, from the Almighty to do wrong.
John – Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies;”
