July 27—1 Samuel 12:1-25; Acts 22:30—23:11
1 Sam 12–”For the sake of His reputation, the Lord won’t abandon His people”
Acts 23–”God is about to strike you, you whitewashed wall!”
1 Samuel – far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by failing to pray for you.
Acts – Take courage!
I Sam 12:20 “…serve the Lord with all your heart.”
Acts 23:11 …” Take courage…”
July 26—1 Samuel 10:1-27; Acts 22:17-29
1Sam 10–God gave him a different heart
Acts 22–As they were stretching him out and tying him down with straps,
1 Samuel – he has hidden himself among the supplies.
Acts – I had to pay a lot of money for my citizenship.
I Sam 10:9 …God changed Saul’s heart…
Acts 22:21 …”Go, I will send you…”
July 25—1 Samuel 9:1-27; Acts 21:37—22:16
1 Samuel 9–”I have seen the suffering of My people, and their cry for help has reached Me.”
Acts 22–”You will be His witness to everyone concerning what you have seen and heard.”
1 Samuel – And to whom is all the desire of Israel turned, if not to you and your whole family line?”
Acts – Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name.’
I Sam 9:16 “…I have looked upon my people, for their cry has reached me.”
Acts 22:10 “What shall I do, Lord?”
July 24—1 Samuel 8:1-22; Acts 21:15-36
1Sam 8–”No! There must be a king over us so we can be like all the other nations.”
Acts 21–After greeting them, he gave them a detailed report of what God had done among the Gentiles through his ministry.
1 Samuel – “We want a king over us. 20 Then we will be like all the other nations
Acts – the brothers and sisters received us warmly
I Sam 8:7 …”they have rejected me as their king.”
Acts 21:19 Paul…reported in detail what God had done among the Gentiles through his ministry.
July 23—1 Samuel 6:19—7:17; Acts 19:1-22
1 Sam 7–”If you are turning to the Lord with all your heart, then get rid of all the foreign gods and Astartes you have.’
Acts 19–their diseases were cured and the evil spirits left them
1 Samuel – commit yourselves to the Lord and serve him only, and he will deliver you
Acts – Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you?”
I Sam 7:3 …”commit yourselves to the Lord and serve him only…”
Acts 19:17 …the name of the Lord Jesus was held in high honor.
July 22 – 1 Samuel 5:1—6:3, 10-16; Acts 18:1-11, 23-28
1 Sam 5–The Lord’s hand was heavy on the people of Ashdod
Acts 18–”Don’t be afraid. Continue speaking. Don’t be silent.”
1 Samuel – Why do you harden your hearts as the Egyptians and Pharaoh did?
Acts – “Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent. 10 For I am with you
I Sam 5:4 …there was Dagon, fallen on his face on the ground before the ark of the Lord! …

July 21 – 1 Samuel 4:1-22; Acts 16:23-40
1Sam 4–”The glory has left Israel”
Acts 16–Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God
1 Samuel – The Glory has departed from Israel, for the ark of God has been captured.”
Acts – “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.”
I Sam 4:3 …”Why did the Lord bring defeat up us today…”
Acts 16:25 …Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them.
