26th – Zechariah 2:1 – 3:10, Romans 15:1-13

Zechariah–I am about to bring My servant, Branch
Romans–Each of us should please our neighbors for their good in order to build them up.

Carl 
Zechariah – I will live among you
Romans – Scripture gives us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for Gods promises to be fulfilled

Sharon
Zechariah – For I am coming and I will live among you.
Romans – We should build each other upSharon

25th – Zechariah 1:1-21, Romans 14:1-23

Pastor
Zechariah–turn from your evil ways and your evil deeds
Romans–God’s kingdom is about righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit

Carl
Zechariah – Return to me and I will return to you.
Romans – So then, let us aim for harmony in the church, and try to build each other up.

Sharon -
Zechariah - “Return to me,” declares the Lord, “And I will return to you.”
Romans – Whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.

24th – Joel 3:1-21, Romans 12:14-13:14

Pastor

Joel – the mountains will drip sweet wine
Romans – Don’t be defeated by evil, but defeat evil with good

Carl

Joel – let the weak say, “I am a warrior.” & But the Lord is a refuge to his people,
Romans – Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Sharon

Joel – The Day of the Lord is near.
Romans – ‘As surly as I live, says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God,’

23rd – Joel 2:18-32, Romans 11:25 – 12:13

        Pastor

– Joel – you will be fully satisfied
Romans – God’s riches, wisdom, and knowledge are so deep!

        Carl

– Joel – everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved
Romans – Let love be genuine.

        Sharon

– Joel – rejoice, the Lord has done great things
Romans – God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable.
Sharon – Additional thought of my selection for today: God doesn’t call the qualified. He qualifies the called.

22nd – Joel 2:1-17, Romans 11:1-24

        Pastor

 

– Joel–Mighty are those who obey His word
Romans–by the choice of God’s grace

        Carl

 

-Joel – for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love;
Romans – not you who support the root, but the root that supports you

        Sharon

 

– Joel – Render all your heart to the Lord, our God.
Romans – We are grafted into the family of God though, Jesus, our Savior.

Jan 21st – Joel 1-20, Romans 10:1-21
Pastor – Joel – The day of the Lord is near
Romans – my heart’s desire is for Israel’s salvation
Carl – Joel – Even the beast of the field cry out for you.
Romans – For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
Sharon – Joel – Tell the Good News to our children and grandchildren and great grandchildren
Romans. “If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Jan 20th, Ezekiel 47:1-14, 21-23, Romans 9:19-33
Pastor – Ezekiel–their leaves will not wither
Romans–prepared in advance for glory
Carl – Ezekiel- but they will bear fresh fruit every month, because the water for them flows from the sanctuary.
Romans – a righteousness obtained by faith
Sharon – Ezekiel – God is Lord of all
Romans – “I will call them my people who are not my people” God is Lord of all.
