Zechariah–I will refine them like one refines silver; I will test them like one tests gold.
Titus–knowledge of the truth that agrees with godliness
Zechariah : I will refine them like silver and test them like gold. They will call on my name and I will answer them
Titus : knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness
Zechariah – Our God reigns
Titus – Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our savior.
February 1—Zechariah 11:4-17; 2 Timothy 4:1-18
Zechariah–the afflicted of the flock knew that it was the Lord’s word
2 Timothy–the Lord stood by me and gave me strength
Zechariah : “Thirty pieces of silver”
2 Timothy : The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Zechariah – Even when one does the right thing, there will be those to oppose.

January 31st – Zechariah 10:1-11:3, 2 Timothy 3:1-17
Zechariah–The Lord of heavenly forces will take care of His splendor
2 Timothy–Understand that the last days will be dangerous times.
Zechariah : “I will make them strong in the Lord, and they shall walk in his name,”
2 Timothy : “all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.”
Zechariah : Trust God
2 Tim : All Scripture is God-breathed…
January 30th – Zechariah 9:1-17 , 2 Timothy 2:1-26
Zechariah– he will speak peace to the nations.
2 Timothy– Accept your share of suffering like a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
Zechariah : Behold, your king is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is he, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
2 Timothy 2 : Have nothing to do with foolish, ignorant controversies; you know that they breed quarrels. And the Lord’s servant[e] must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness.
Zechariah :…I am keeping watch
2 Tim 2 : Do you’re best to present yourself to God as one approved and who correctly handles the word of truth.
January 29th – Zechariah 8:1-23 , 2 Timothy 1:1-18
Zechariah–I will deliver you; you will be a blessing
2 Timothy–Christ Jesus our hope
Zechariah : Speak the truth to one another; render in your gates judgments that are true and make for peace;17 do not devise evil in your hearts against one another, and love no false oath
2 Timothy 1 : for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
Zechariah : …I will be faithful and righteous to them as their God
2 Tim 1 I thank God, whom I serve…
January 28th – Zechariah 6:1 – 7:14 , Romans 16:17-27
Zechariah-They turned a delightful land into a wasteland.
Romans 16–I want you to be wise about what’s good, and innocent about what’s evil.
Zechariah : Therefore great anger came from the Lord of hosts. “As I called, and they would not hear, so they called, and I would not hear,” says the Lord of hosts
Romans : to the only wise God be glory forevermore through Jesus Christ! Amen.
Zechariah – I should ask myself this during Lent “Ask all the people of the land and of the priests, ‘When you fasted and mourned…was it really for me…?’
Romans – “…watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned.” For their own desires and benefit.
January 27th – Zechariah 4:1 – 5:11 , Romans 15:14-33
Zechariah 4 – Neither by power, nor by strength, but by my spirit, says the Lord of heavenly forces.
Romans 15 – I don’t dare speak about anything except what Christ has done through me
Zechariah : Not by force nor by strength, but by my power says the Lord
Romans : Yet I dare not boast about anything except what Christ had done though me
Zechariah – All in the Lord’s timing
Romans – “Join me in my struggle by praying to God for me.”
