Sunday Service and Bible Classes
The service is at 9:00 am on Sunday mornings. Refreshments, coffee, etc. are offered after early service where there is time for greeting each other before the Bible Class starts at 10:15 am. The Bible Classes meet in the area marked “Meeting Room” on the map on this page. There is a general opening at the beginning of Bible Class, and then the people break up into groups to go to the class of interest to them.
Order of the Sunday Service
The church service begins with announcements followed by the opportunity to share prayer requests. Songs and liturgy are used during the service and an easy to follow handout is provided for your convenience. For details about the liturgy and its meaning check out the Liturgical Lutheran Worship page. Communion is offered at every service. Guests who are baptized and publically confess that Jesus gives His body and blood in the bread and wine in order to strengthen and offer us the assurance of His forgiveness are invited to take part in the communion service. For those who are unable to receive wine, white grape juice is offered in the center of the tray. If you do not want to take communion but would like to receive a blessing, you can come forward and cross your arms indicating you want to receive the blessing.
