June 8—Numbers 20:22—21:9; Luke 20:45—21:19
Numbers 20–the entire household of Israel wept thirty days for Aaron.
Luke 21–”This will provide you with an opportunity to testify.”
Number – “Make a snake and put it up on a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live.”
Luke – but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.”
Num 21:7 …Moses prayed for the people.
Lk 21:8 …”Watch out that you are not deceived.”…

June 7—Numbers 20:1-21; Luke 20:19-44
Numbers 20–Edom refused to allow Israel to cross his border.
Luke 20–”You don’t show favoritism but teach God’s way as it really is.”
Numbers – Because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy in the sight of the Israelites
Luke – “Then give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.”
Num 20:16 …when we cried out to the Lord, he heard our cry…
Lk 20:25 …”Then give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.”

Numbers 16–He stood between the dead and the living, and the plague stopped.
Luke 20–”The stone that the builders rejected has become the capstone.”
Numbers – had not only sprouted but had budded, blossomed and produced almonds.
Luke – Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces; anyone on whom it falls will be crushed.”

Numbers – Let them be a sign to the Israelites
Luke – “If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace”
Num 16:25 …Move back from the tents of these wicked men! Do not touch anything belonging to them, or you will be swept away because of all their sins.

Luke 18–”Jesus, Son of David, show me mercy.’
Numbers- For forty years—one year for each of the forty days you explored the land—you will suffer for your sins and know what it is like to have me against you.
Luke – Jesus asked him, 41 “What do you want me to do for you?

Numbers – “I have forgiven them, as you asked”
Luke – “no one who has left home or wife or brothers or sisters or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God 30 will fail to receive many times as much in this age, and in the age to come eternal life.”
