June 1—Numbers 13:1-3, 17-33; Luke 18:1-17
PastorNumbers 13–”We must go up and take possession of it, because we are more than able to do it.”
Luke 18–Jesus was telling them a parable about their need to pray continuously and not to be discouraged.
Numbers – “We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.”
Luke – “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
Num 13:30 …We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.
Lk 18:1 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.

May 31—Numbers 11:24-29, 12:1-16; Luke 17:20-37
Numbers 11–”If only all the Lord’s people were prophets with the Lord placing His spirit on them!”
Luke 17–”Whoever tries to preserve their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life will preserve it.”
Numbers – With him I speak face to face, clearly and not in riddles; he sees the form of the Lord.
Luke – the kingdom of God is in your midst.
Num 12: 11 … Please, … do not hold against us this sin we have so foolishly committed.
Lk 17:37 …”Where there is a dead body, there the vultures will gather.”

May 30—Numbers 11:1-23, 31-35; Luke 17:1-19
Numbers 11–”Then they will carry the burden of the people with you so that you won’t bear it alone.”
Luke 17–”Jesus, Master, show us mercy!”
Numbers – “Is the Lord’s arm too short?
Luke – Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine?
Num 11:17 “…They will help you carry the burden of the people so that you will not have to carry it alone.”
Lk17:1 …” Things that cause people to sin are bound to come, but woe to that person through whom they come.”

May 29—Numbers 10:11-36; Luke 16:19-31
Numbers 10–”Arise, Lord, let Your enemies scatter, and those who hate You flee.”
Luke 16–”neither will they be persuaded if someone rises from the dead.”
Numbers – If you come with us, we will share with you whatever good things the Lord gives us
Luke – If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.’
Num 10:33 …the Lord went before them…
Lk 16:22 …the angels carried him to Abraham’s side…

May 28—Numbers 9:1-23; Luke 16:1-18
Numbers 9–They camped at the Lord’s command and they marched at the Lord’s command.
Luke 16–”Whoever is faithful with little is also faithful with much”
Numbers – They will bear the consequences of their sin.
Luke – Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.
Num 9:8 …Wait until I find out what the Lord commands concerning you.
Lk 16:15 “…God knows your hearts….”

May 27—Numbers 8:5-26; Luke 15:11-32
Numbers 8–so that they may do the Lord’s service
Luke 15–”this son of mine was dead and has come back to life!”
Numbers – Men twenty-five years old or more shall come to take part in the work at the tent of meeting, 25 but at the age of fifty, they must retire from their regular service and work no longer.
Luke – “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.
Num 8:16 ” …I have taken them as my own in place of the first born…”
LK 15:32 …celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.

May 26—Numbers 3:1-16, 39-48; Luke 14:25—15:10
Numbers 3–”I reserved for Myself all the oldest males in Israel, both humans and animals.”
Luke 14–”none of you who are unwilling to give up all of your possessions can be My disciple.”
Numbers – To redeem the 273 firstborn Israelites who exceed the number of the Levites, 47 collect five shekels[a] for each one, according to the sanctuary shekel, which weighs twenty gerahs.
Luke – I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.
Num 3 redemption
Lk 14:27 “And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.”
