October 27—Deuteronomy 29:1-29; Matthew 18:21-35
Deut 29–Make sure there isn’t any root among you that is sprouting poison and bitterness.
Matt 18–”Lord, how many times should I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me?”
Deut 29:29 The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law.
Matt. 18:35b forgive your brother or sister from your heart.
Deut 29:10 All of you are standing today in the presence of the Lord your God…
Matt 18:21,22 Then Peter came to Jesus and asked,”Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?” Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.”

October 28—Deuteronomy 30:1-20; Matthew 19:1-15
PastorDeut 30–choose life by loving the Lord your God, by obeying His voice, and by clinging to Him.
Matt 19–”humans must not pull apart what God has put together.”
Deut 30:6 The Lord your God will circumcise your hearts and the hearts of your descendants, so that you may love him with all your heart and with all your soul, and live.
Matt. 19:8 Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning.
Deut 30:16 For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to posses.
Matt 19:14 Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

October 29—Deuteronomy 31:1-29; Matthew 19:16-30
Deut 31–”I know that after I’m dead, you will ruin everything”
Matt 19–”But all things are possible for God.”
Deut. 31:8 The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
Matt. 19″26 “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Deut 31:6 “Be strong and courageous. do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Matt 19:17,21 “Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied, “there is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, obey the commandments. …If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

October 30—Deuteronomy 31:30—32:27; Matthew 20:1-16
Deut 32–He’s the faithful God, never deceiving
Matt 20–”So those who are last will be first”
Deut. 31:2 – Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants.
Matt. 20:16 “So the last will be first, and the first will be last.”
Deut 32:3 I will proclaim the name of the Lord. Oh, praise the greatness of our God!
Matt 20:16 “So the last will be first, and the first will be last.”

October 31—Deuteronomy 32:28-52; Matthew 20:17-34
Deut 32– But, no, their rocks can’t compare to our rock!
Matt 20– Now the crowd scolded them and told them to be quiet. But they shouted even louder, “Show us mercy, Lord, Son of David!”
Deut 32:51 This is because both of you broke faith with me in the presence of the Israelites at the waters of Meribah Kadesh in the Desert of Zin and because you did not uphold my holiness among the Israelites. 52 Therefore, you will see the land only from a distance; you will not enter the land I am giving to the people of Israel.”
Matt 20:23 “You will indeed drink from my cup, but to sit at my right or left is not for me to grant. These places belong to those for whom they have been prepared by my Father.”

November 1—Deuteronomy 34:1-12; Matthew 21:1-22
Deut 34–No prophet like Moses has yet emerged in Israel; Moses knew the Lord face-to-face!
Matt 21–”Look your king is coming to you, humble and riding on a donkey”
Deut. 34:5 And Moses the servant of the Lord died there in Moab, as the Lord had said. 6 He buried him.
Matt 21:22 If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”
Deut 34:12 For no one has ever shown the mighty power or performed the awesome deeds that Moses did in the sight of all Israel.
Matt 21:9 …”Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!’

November 2—Jeremiah 1:1-19; Matthew 21:23-46
Jer 1–”before you were born I set you apart”
Matt 21–”God’s kingdom will be taken away from you and will be given to a people who produce its fruit.”
Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew[a] you, before you were born I set you apart;
Matthew 21:5 “‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone;
Jer 1:5 ‘Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart…”
Matt21:42 …” ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone, the Lord has done this and it is marvelous in our eyes’ ”
