May 18: Leviticus 19:9-18, 26-37; Luke 11:14-36
Lev 19–Do not show favoritism to the poor or deference to the rich
Luke 11–”Happy rather are those who hear God’s word and put it into practice.”
Lev – “‘Do not hate a fellow Israelite in your heart.
Luke – “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”
Lev 19:18 Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.
Lk 11:23 “He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me, scatters.”

May 17: Leviticus 18:1-7, 20—19:8; Luke 11:1-13
Lev 18–”You must keep My rules and My regulations; by doing them one will live”
Luke 11–”To everyone who knocks, the door is opened. ”
Lev – ‘Be holy because I, the Lord your God, am holy.
Luke – I tell you, even though he will not get up and give you the bread because of friendship, yet because of your shameless audacity he will surely get up and give you as much as you need.
Lev 18 – 19 I am the Lord your God.
Lk 11:9 …Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

May 16: Leviticus 17:1-16; Luke 10:23-42
Lev 17–the blood reconciles by means of the life
Luke 10–”Happy are the eyes that see what you see. ”
Lev – For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life.
Luke – “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”
Lev 17:6 …an aroma pleasing to the Lord.

May 15: Leviticus 16:1-24; Luke 10:1-22
Lev – But the goat chosen by lot as the scapegoat shall be presented alive before the Lord to be used for making atonement by sending it into the wilderness as a scapegoat.
Luke – “do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

May 14: Leviticus 10:1-20; Luke 9: 37-62
Lev – “‘Among those who approach me I will be proved holy; in the sight of all the people I will be honored.’”
Luke – “for whoever is not against you is for you.”
Lev 10:3 …the Lord spoke…”I will be honored”
Lk 9:59 (Jesus said) “Follow me.”

May 13: Leviticus 9:1-24; Luke 9:18-36
Lev 9–today the Lord will appear to you.
Luke 9–”all who lose their lives because of Me will save them.”
Lev – Fire came out from the presence of the Lord and consumed the burnt offering and the fat portions on the altar. And when all the people saw it, they shouted for joy and fell facedown.
Luke – “Who do you say I am?”

Lk 9: 23 (Jesus said)…”If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”

May 12: Leviticus 8:1-13, 30-36; Luke 9:1-17
Lev 8–”What was done today was commanded by the Lord, to make reconciliation for you.’
Luke 9–He gave them power and authority over all demons and to heal sicknesses.
Lev – You must stay at the entrance to the tent of meeting day and night for seven days and do what the Lord requires, so you will not die; for that is what I have been commanded.”
Luke – They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.
Lv 8: 30 …So, he (Moses) consecrated Aaron…and his sons…
Lk 9:2 and he sent them out to preach the kingdom of God…
