May 25—Leviticus 26:21-33, 39-44; Luke 14:1-24
Lev 26–”I will punish you for your sins seven more times”
Luke 14–”All who lift themselves up will be brought low, and those who make themselves low will be lifted up.”
Lev – I will not reject them or abhor them so as to destroy them completely, breaking my covenant with them.
Luke – For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.
Lev 26:40,42 “But if they will confess their sins… I will remember my covenant…”
Lk 14:11 “For everyone who exalts himself with be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

May 24—Leviticus 26:1-20; Luke 13:18-35
Lev 26–”I will place My dwelling above you, and I will not despise you.”
Luke 13–”Make every effort to enter through the narrow gate.”
Lev – I will walk among you and be your God, and you will be my people.
Luke – I must press on today and tomorrow and the next day
Lev 26:1-13 God said if his commands were followed, he would bring blessings to the land and the people.
Lk 13:29,30 “People will come from east and west and north and south, and will take their places at the feast in the kingdom of God. Indeed, there are those who are last who will bee first, and first who will be last.”

May 23—Leviticus 24:1-23; Luke 12:54—13:17
Lev 24–to keep a light burning constantly
Luke 12–”How is it that you don’t know how to interpret the present time?”
Lev – Anyone who curses their God will be held responsible; 16 anyone who blasphemes the name of the Lord is to be put to death.
Luke – I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.
Lev 24:15 …If anyone curses his God, he will be held responsible.
Lk 12:56 …How is it that you don’t know how to interpret this present time?

May 22—Leviticus 23:23-44; Luke 12:35-53
Lev–the Lord’s appointed times
Luke–”Happy are the servants whom the master finds fulfilling their responsibilities when he comes.”
Lev – Live in temporary shelters for seven days: All native-born Israelites are to live in such shelters
Luke – You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
Lev 23:28 …atonement is made for you before the Lord your God.
Lk 12:35 Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning.

May 21—Leviticus 23:1-22; Luke 12:13-34
Lev 23–the Lord’s appointed times, holy occasions
Luke 12–”Guard yourself against all kinds of greed”
Lev – This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come, wherever you live.
Luke – For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes.
Lev 23:3 There are six days when you may work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest, a day of sacred assembly. …
Lk 12:20 … This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?

May 20—Leviticus 21:1-24; Luke 12:1-12
Lev – I am the Lord, who makes them holy.’”
Luke – There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known.
Lev 21:6 ..they are to be holy.
Lk 12:2 There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known.

May 19—Leviticus 20:1-16, 22-27; Luke 11:37-54
Lev 21–They must be holy to their God so that they don’t make their God’s name impure.
Luke 12–”the mismatch between their hearts and lives”
Lev – You are to be holy to me because I, the Lord, am holy, and I have set you apart from the nations to be my own.
Luke – You foolish people! Did not the one who made the outside make the inside also?
Lev 20:8 Keep my decrees and follow them. I am the Lord, who makes you holy.
Lk 11:49 …I will send them prophets and apostles, some of whom they will kill and others they will persecute.
