March 30—Genesis 41:1-27; Mark 11:1-19
Gen 41–”It’s not me. God will give Pharaoh a favorable response.”
Mark 11–”Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the Lord”
Gen – “I cannot do it,” Joseph replied to Pharaoh, “but God will give Pharaoh the answer he desires.”
Mark – “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”
Gen 41:8 In the morning his mind was troubled, so he sent for all the magicians and wise men of Egypt. He told them his dreams, but no one could interpret them for him.
Mark 11:9 …”Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”
March 29—Genesis 40:1-23; Mark 10:32-52
Gen 40–But the chief wine steward didn’t remember Joseph; he forgot all about him.
Mark 10–”Whoever wants to be great among you will be your servant.”
Gen – “Do not interpretations belong to God?
Mark – “Can you drink the cup I drink or be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with?”

March 28—Genesis 39:1-23; Mark 10:13-31
Gen 39–the Lord was with him and made everything he did successful
Mark 10–”It will be very hard for the wealthy to enter God’s kingdom.”
Gen – When his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord gave him success in everything he did, 4 Joseph found favor in his eyes and became his attendant.
Mark – But many who are first will be last, and the last first.”
Gen 39:21 …the Lord was with him; he showed him kindness and granted him favor in the eyes of the prison warden.
Mark 10:33-34 “We are going up to Jerusalem, “he said, “and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death and will hand him over the the Gentiles, who will mock him and spit on him, flog him and kill him. Three days later he will rise.”
March 27—Genesis 37:1-36; Mark 10:1-12
Gen 37–His brothers were jealous of him
Mark 10–humans must not pull apart what God has put together
Gen – “What will we gain if we kill our brother and cover up his blood?
Mark – “It was because your hearts were hard that Moses wrote you this law,”
Gen 37:21 When Ruben heard this (that his brothers were going to kill Joseph), he tried to rescue him from their hands…

March 26—Genesis 35:1-29; Mark 9:33-50
Gen 35–the God who answered me when I was in trouble and who has been with me wherever I’ve gone
Mark 9–they had been debating with each other about who was the greatest
Gen – Then come, let us go up to Bethel, where I will build an altar to God, who answered me in the day of my distress and who has been with me wherever I have gone.”
Mark – “Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.”
Gen 35:3 …God, who answered me in the day of my distress and who has been with me wherever I have gone.
Mark 9:35 …”If any one wants to be first, he must be the very last, and the servant of all.”
March 25—Genesis 29:1-30; Mark 9:14-32
Gen 29–Jacob worked for Rachel for seven years, but it seemed like a few days because he loved her.
Mark 9–”You faithless generation, how long will I be with you?”
Gen – “What is this you have done to me? I served you for Rachel, didn’t I? Why have you deceived me?”
Mark – “‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”
Gen 29:18 …I’ll work for you seven years in return for your younger daughter Rachel.
Mark 9:21 …”Everything is possible for him who believes.”
March 24—Genesis 27:30-45; 28:10-22; Mark 9:1-13
Gen 27–”Bless me! Me too, my father!”
Mark 9–”This is My Son, whom I dearly love. Listen to Him!”
Gen – “Your brother came deceitfully and took your blessing.”
Mark – “Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see that the kingdom of God has come with power.”
