April 6—Genesis 49:29-50:7, 14-26; Mark 14:1-11
Gen 49–by the name of the shepherd, the rock of Israel
Mark 14–”she has anointed My body ahead of time for burial”
Gen – Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God? 20 You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.
Mark – he poor you will always have with you,[b] and you can help them any time you want. But you will not always have me.
Gen 49:33 … breathed his last and was gathered to his people

April 5—Genesis 47:1-31; Mark 13:24-37
Gen 47–Jacob blessed Pharaoh
Mark 13–”Watch out! Stay alert!”
Ge – Then Jacob blessed Pharaoh
Mark – Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

April 4—Genesis 45:1-20, 24-28; Mark 13:1-23
Gen 45–”God sent me before you to save lives.”
Mark 13–”say whatever is given to you at that moment, for you aren’t doing the speaking but the Holy Spirit is.”
Gen – And now, do not be distressed and do not be angry with yourselves for selling me here, because it was to save lives that God sent me ahead of you.
Mark – And the gospel must first be preached to all nations.
