April 13—Exodus 7:1-25; Mark 16:1-20
Ex 7–”There will be blood all over the land of Egypt, even in wood and stone containers.”
Mark 16–”He has been raised. He isn’t here.”
Exodus – “See, I have made you like God to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron will be your prophet.
Mark – But go, tell his disciples and Peter,
Ex 7:6 Moses and Aaron did just as the Lord commanded them
Mk 16:15,16 …”Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes ad is baptized will be saved…”

April 12—Exodus 5:1—6:1; Mark 15:33-47
Ex 5–”Let the Lord see and judge what you have done!”
Mark 15–”This man was certainly God’s Son.”
Exodus – “Who is the Lord, that I should obey him and let Israel go? I do not know the Lord and I will not let Israel go.”
Mark – The curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. 39 And when the centurion, who stood there in front of Jesus, saw how he died,[b] he said, “Surely this man was the Son of God!”
Ex 6:1 …”Now you will see what I will do…”
Mark 15:41 In Galilee these women had followed him and cared for his needs. Many other women had come up with him to Jerusalem were also there.

April 11—Exodus 4:19-31; Mark 15:16-32
Ex 4–they heard that the Lord has paid attention to the Israelites and had seen their oppression
Mark 15–Again and again, they struck His head with a stick.
Exodus – This is what the Lord says: Israel is my firstborn son, 23 and I told you, “Let my son go, so he may worship me.” But you refused to let him go; so I will kill your firstborn son.’”
Mark – So! You who are going to destroy the temple and build it in three days, 30 come down from the cross and save yourself!”
Ex 4:20 …And he took the staff of God in his hand.
Mark 15:31 …the teachers of the law mocked him…

April 10—Exodus 4:1-18; Mark 15:1-15
Ex 4–Then the Lord said to him, “Who gives people the ability to speak?”
Mark 15–”Why? What wrong has He done?”
Exodus – The Lord said to him, “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the Lord? 12 Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.”
Mark – “Crucify him!” they shouted. “Why? What crime has he committed?”
Ex 4:13 O Lord, please send someone else to do it.
Mark 15:12 … “What shall I do then, with the one you call the king the Jews?”…

April 9—Exodus 2:23—3:22; Mark 14:53-72
Ex 2–God heard their cry of grief
Mark 14–They all condemned Him. “He deserves to die!”
Exodus – “I am who I am.”
Mark – “I am,”
Ex 3:4 …Here I am
Mark 14:71 I don’t know this man…

April 8—Exodus 2:1-22; Mark 14:32-52
Ex 2–”I’ve been an immigrant living in a foreign land”
Mark 14–”Abba, Father, for You all things are possible”
Exodus – “What I did must have become known.”
Mark – “everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.”

April 7—Exodus 1:1-22; Mark 14:12-31
Ex 1–the two midwives respected God so they didn’t obey the Egyptian king’s orders
Mark 14–”It’s not me, is it?”
Exodus – And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families of their own.
Mark – Even if I have to die with you, I will never disown you.
Ex 1:17 The midwives, however feared God and did not do what the king of Egypt told them to do…
Mark 14:38 “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation…
