July 13—Judges 13:1-25; Galatians 2:1-21
Judges 13–an amazing thing happened: as the flame from the altar went up toward the sky, the Lord’s messenger went up in the altar’s flame.
Galatians 2–we know that a person isn’t made righteous by the works of the Law but rather through the faithfulness if Jesus Christ.
Judges – “Why do you ask my name? It is beyond understanding.
Galatians – For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God.
Judges 13:8 … “O Lord,…teach us how to bring up the boy who is to be born.”
Gal 2:20 “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

July 12—Judges 7:1-21; Galatians 1:1-24
Judges 7–”A sword for the Lord and for Gideon!”
Galatians 1–God had set me apart from birth and called me through His grace.
Judges – “You have too many men. I cannot deliver Midian into their hands, or Israel would boast against me, ‘My own strength has saved me.’
Galatians – But when God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me by his grace
Judges 7:15 …he worshiped God…
Gal. 1:3 Grace and peace to you from our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

July 11—Judges 6:25-40; Acts 15:6-21
Judges 6–So on that day Gideon became known as Jerubbaal, meaning,
‘Let Baal argue with him’
Acts 15–”We believe that we and they are saved in the same way, by the grace of the Lord Jesus.
Judges – “Do not be angry with me. Let me make just one more request.
Acts – We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved
Judges 6:31 “…Are you going to plead Baal’s cause?…”
Acts 15:8 …”God who knows the heart…”

July 10—Judges 6:1-24; Acts 14:19—15:5
Judges 6–”You have strength, so go and rescue Israel from the power of Midian.”
Acts 14–”If we are to enter God’s kingdom, we must pass through many troubles.”
Judges – “but if the Lord is with us, why has all this happened to us?
Acts – “We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God,”
Judges 6:13 “…if the Lord is with us, why has all this happened to us?…
Acts 14:23 …with prayer and fasting, committed them to the Lord, in whom they had put their trust.

July 9—Judges 4:1-24; Acts 14:1-18
Judges 4–”Hasn’t the Lord, Israel’s God, issued you a command?”
Acts 14-”turn to the living God and away from such worthless things.”
Judges – “But because of the course you are taking, the honor will not be yours, for the Lord will deliver Sisera into the hands of a woman.”
Acts – In the past, he let all nations go their own way. 17 Yet he has not left himself without testimony:
Judges 4: 4 Deborah, a prophetess…
Acts 14:15 “…We are bringing you good news, telling you to turn from these worthless things to the living God, who made heaven and earth and sea and everything in them.”

July 8—Judges 3:7-31; Acts 13:42-52
Judges 3–So the Lord raised up a deliverer for them
Acts 13–urged them to remain faithful to the message of God’s grace
Judges – But when they cried out to the Lord, he raised up for them a deliverer,
Acts – ‘I have made you[a] a light for the Gentiles, that you[b] may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.
Judges 3:15 …cried out the the Lord, and he gave them a deliverer…
Acts 13:47 …’I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’

July 7—Judges 2:6-23; Acts 13:13-41
Judges 2–They went after other gods from among the surrounding peoples, they worshipped them, and angered the Lord.
Acts 13–”But God raised Him from the dead!”
Judges – I will use them to test Israel and see whether they will keep the way of the Lord and walk in it as their ancestors did.
Acts – 38 “Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. 39 Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses.
Judges 2:18 …the Lord had compassion on them as they groaned under those who oppressed and afflicted them.
Acts 13:15 …”Brothers, if you have a message of encouragement for the people, please speak.”
