April 27—Exodus 19:1-25; Hebrews 13:1-21
Ex 19–”I lifted you up on eagles’ wings”
Heb 13–we are looking for the city that is still to come.
Exodus – Moses spoke and the voice of God answered him.
Hebrews – Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have”
Ex 19:5 Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession. …
Heb 13:5,6 … “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” So we say with confidence. “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?”

April 26—Exodus 18:5-27; Hebrews 12:1-24
Ex 18–”You can’t do it alone.”
Heb 12–we have such a great cloud of witnesses surrounding us
Exodus – Moses’ father-in-law replied, “What you are doing is not good. 18 You and these people who come to you will only wear yourselves out. The work is too heavy for you; you cannot handle it alone.
Hebrews – Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.
Ex 18:10 …Praise be to the Lord, who rescued you…
12:2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus…1 …and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.

April 25—Exodus 17:1-16; Hebrews 11:1-29
Ex 17– Whenever Moses held up his hand, the Israelites would start winning the battle.
Heb 11–Though he died, he’s still speaking through faith.
Exodus – When Moses’ hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up—one on one side, one on the other—so that his hands remained steady till sunset.
Hebrews – For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God.
EX 17:4 Then Moses cried out to the Lord, “What am I to do with these people? …
Heb 11:1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

April 24—Exodus 16:13-35; Hebrews 10:19-39
Ex 16–The Israelites ate manna for forty years
Heb 10–Let’s hold on to the confession of our hope without wavering, because the one who made the promise is reliable.
Ex – And in the morning the leftover food was wholesome and good, without maggots or odor. 25 Moses said, “Eat this food today, for today is a Sabbath day dedicated to the Lord. There will be no food on the ground today.
Hebrews – And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God’s house, let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.
Ex 1613-35 The Lord provides what is needed.
Heb 10:36 You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.

April 23—Exodus 15:19—16:12; Hebrews 10:1-18
Ex 15–Sing to the Lord for an overflowing victory!
Heb 10–But when this priest offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, He sat down at the right side of God.
Exodus – When Pharaoh’s horses, chariots, and charioteers rushed into the sea, the Lord brought the water crashing down on them. But the people of Israel had walked through the middle of the sea on dry ground!
Hebrews – “This is the new covenant I will make with my people on that day, says the Lord: I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.” Then he says, “I will never again remember their sins and lawless deeds.”
Ex 15:26 …I am the Lord, who heals you.
Heb 10: 10 …we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

April 22—Exodus 15:1-18; Hebrews 9:1-28
Ex 15–The Lord is my strength and my power; He has become my salvation.
Heb 9–He offered Himself to God through the eternal Spirit as a sacrifice without any flaw.
Exodus – You will bring them in and plant them on the mountain of your inheritance—
the place, Lord, you made for your dwelling, the sanctuary, Lord, your hands established.
Hebrews – Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
Ex 15 2 The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation
Heb 9:14 How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!

April 21—Exodus 14:10-31; Hebrews 7:23—8:13
Ex 14–”Don’t be afraid. Stand your ground, and watch the Lord rescue you today.”
Heb 7–He did this once for all when He offered Himself.
Exodus – The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
Hebrews – 13 By calling this covenant “new,” he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear.
Ex 14: 13 … Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today….
Heb 7: 25 Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.
