Message From Pastor Heckmann

19 Mar Message From Pastor Heckmann

Dear member of Hope,

God’s grace is sufficient for us, for His power is made perfect in weakness. Christ Jesus is the universal demonstration of this truth!

Here is the present plan for this Sunday at Hope. We will have a small gathering at 9:00 am in order to facilitate online streaming of the worship service. Sunday School and Bible classes are cancelled. No one will be prevented from entering the church; however, if you are in a higher risk situation or would feel vulnerable or have access to the online version, I encourage you not to attend. We do want to be mindful of the mandate concerning gatherings of greater than 10. The service bulletin is attached to this email so that you can follow along at home or use it for your personal worship.

We will fast from Holy Communion for the next two Sundays and then assess how we will proceed. If you desire to have the Sacrament during this time, I would be happy to bring it to you in your home or schedule for private administration at the church.

These are trying times and unusual circumstances. What should we do? Jesus tells us, “Here comes God’s kingdom! Change your hearts and lives, and trust this good news!”

The peace of the Lord be with you always,

Pastor Heckmann
